Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sanitation Operator III based in Nampa, ID.

Requirements

The Sanitation Technician III works independently to disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment to meet strict food safety standards. This role is responsible for safely handling sanitation chemicals, verifying cleaning effectiveness, and ensuring all assigned areas are fully sanitized to prevent contamination and support safe food production.


From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

Disassemble production lines and equipment for thorough cleaning and sanitation

Perform cleaning and sanitizing using approved procedures, tools, and chemicals

Conduct verification activities (including swabbing) to confirm sanitation effectiveness

Reassemble equipment correctly and prepare lines for on-time production startup

Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure they meet food safety standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Safely handle and apply caustic and acidic cleaning chemicals in accordance with procedures

Communicate issues that impact safety, quality, or production to supervisors

Work with team members to support efficient sanitation and production flow

Take action when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed

Attend required meetings and training sessions

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:


Education

High School Diploma or completion of GED preferred by not required.


Experience

1 2 years of experience in food manufacturing, sanitation, or industrial cleaning environments preferred

Experience working with cleaning chemicals, PPE, or sanitation equipment strongly preferred

Experience in physically demanding or repetitive work environments is a plus


Specialized Knowledge

Basic knowledge of chemical handling, dilution, or sanitation procedures (SDS, labels, PPE).

Familiarity with CIP/COP or foaming/spray sanitation processes a plus.


Skills / Abilities

Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned sanitation areas

Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work thoroughly (not cutting corners)

Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks for extended periods

Reliable attendance and ability to consistently show up on time

Ability to recognize and address cleanliness, safety, or quality issues

Clear communication with team members and supervisors

Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Ability to safely handle hazardous cleaning chemicals and follow established safety procedures

Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and addressing unsafe condition
